MEET CYNTHIA

Hi! I'm Cynthia Lee, a photographer based out of the Sunshine Coast, Australia. I work predominantly with analogue processes, from 35mm and medium format to Polaroid emulsion lifts. Embracing the imperfections, textures, and tactility of film. My approach is rooted in slow, intentional image making.


My practice centres on documenting subcultures, live music, and everyday life, with a strong focus on the people and places that exist just outside the mainstream. My work explores themes of identity, memory, and connection, often pairing photography with recorded conversations and self-published zines to create accessible, tangible archives beyond the gallery wall.


At the heart of it, I embrace curiosity and aim to share stories that encourage a deeper appreciation and connection to each other, and places we inhabit.
